Sadé Brathwaite attended the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours in 2019. Subsequently, she attended the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago where she graduated in 2021 on the Principal’s Roll of Honour and obtained her Legal Education Certificate.  

While at the Hugh Wooding Law School, she was awarded The Pelham Sloane-Seale Memorial Prize for the best performance in Conveyancing & Registration of Title. Sadé was later admitted to practise law in Barbados and became a member of the Barbados Bar Association in 2021. Her legal interests include Conveyancing, Real Estate Law, Corporate Law and Intellectual Property Law.  

Outside of law, Sadé is a sports enthusiast with a love for netball, handball and basketball. She remains an active member of various sports clubs and has represented Barbados in Handball.

Necole Layne attended the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours in 2015. On completion of this degree, Necole spent just shy of two (2) years as a Legal Secretary in the Real Estate division of one of Barbados’ largest commercial law firms and became familiar with both the legal and administrative side of this area of law. Whilst attending the Hugh Wooding Law School which she completed in the year 2019, she was awarded the Phelps & Co. Prize for Best Performance in Civil Procedure and Practice and was also the Secretary of the Barbados Jurisdictional Committee. Necole was admitted to practice in the year 2019 and became a member of the Barbados Bar Association that same year.  

Necole’s legal interests include Conveyancing and Real Estate, Property Development, Estate Planning and Mortgage financing and security.  

Apart from law, she enjoys writing, teaching and administration and planning which is evident in her participation in various youth and church ministries in which she usually holds the position of Secretary.

Jaydee attained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2018 from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus with honours and his Masters in Corporate & Commercial Law with distinction in 2020 from the same. In 2022, he graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago. 

While at Hugh Wooding Law School, Jaydee contributed a number of articles on Copyright and Company Law issues, to the law school’s newsletter, The Gavel. He also actively contributes articles on topical issues in the credit union movement to the Susu Credit Union Magazine.  

Jaydee has experience in Credit Union operations as he worked closely with the Credit Union Consultant to the Barbados Co-operative & Credit Union League Limited. His legal interests include Corporate & Commercial Law, Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property Law, Credit Union Regulation and Employment Law.  Jaydee was admitted to practise law in Barbados and became a member of the Barbados Bar Association in 2022.  

Jaydee has an interest in music, songwriting and poetry. He has done Trinity Guildhall piano practical exams, up to grade five (5). Overall, he attained three (3) merits and two (2) distinctions. Karen has over 25 years’ experience as a practicing Attorney at Law, in the Caribbean. She spent her first seven years in the field of law in her native country, Guyana, South America at the law firm deCaries Fitzpatrick and Karran where she became a partner. In the year 2000, she migrated to Barbados and joined the law firm Aequus Chambers in Bridgetown Barbados where she specialized in banking, property, offshore and trust and estate matters. She then merged with Hastings Attorney-at-law until 2011 when she started her own firm, Perreira Law that in 2015 rebranded and is now known as InterCaribbean Legal.

Karen has developed a very large commercial litigation and international business practice. She has attracted a clientele of individuals, family businesses and private and public companies. She works for various financial institutions advising on banking law and loans for both domestic and offshore borrowers and private investors. Her portfolio of clients includes international insurance companies, large construction companies, property developers, and HNWIs seeking investment opportunities in Barbados.

Chad Skinner graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School, Trinidad and Tobago in 2020. It was there where he obtained his Legal Education Certificate, held the position as Treasurer of the Cultural and Entertainment Committee, and participated in both the Intellectual Property and Alternative Dispute Resolution specialist clinics. After graduating Chad was awarded the privilege of an internship at The Barbados Supreme Court. 

Prior to attending the Hugh Wooding Law School, Chad obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree with Honors from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2018, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Law with Honors from the same in 2016. Whilst at university he was an active member of UWI STAT Cave Hill and held the position of Treasurer of the Guild of Students Union.
